A short while ago I decided to refurbish my toilet suite, and was astonished at the immense range of bathroom accessories that was obtainable on the web. The colours and models leave one fighting to resolve what to buy. I'm not the best decision maker at the best of times, and all this choice makes it even more difficult.
What I had decided on prior to making a purchase, was that I had to stay with one of the major brands like Toto or American Standard. Their ranges of toilets for sale are huge, the ability to harmonize virtually all the bath room furniture, and the after sales and parts service is usually pretty good. I wanted to find a toilet for sale that I wouldn't have a problem locating parts for, or even replacing with a similar matching model in years to come.
I had the misfortune a few years ago to buy a low-priced stand alone toilet in a sale. Subsequent to installing it in the bathroom it suffered a major parts failure and I had to have a long wait to get the replacement part. This is often not an issue, but when you cannot make use of the only toilet in your house it can be a bit of a nuisance.
So, this time I decided to go with one of the major manufacturers to minimise the possibility of this happening yet again. I had read that American Standard manufacture some good quality toilets, and although they are not necessarily the top of the range (although they supply budget to luxury models), they are a long established and trusted company.
At this moment in time I am in the process of fitting the toilet unit I acquired, and will write a further article with details of the process. I will also be looking at portable toilets for sale to take on a camping or caravanning trip.
